Saying goodbye….
I can’t believe it’s the evening of our last day here in Germany! I don’t like to say goodbye-its never fun, its always emotional & it’s a day that I feel we have to often in our family situation L But on the positive side, I am so thankful for our relationships that we have with family and friends that we get so attached, have so much fun, and that we don’t want to leave! So I’m trying to look on the positive side tonight and be thankful for all the fun memories we have made over the past four & ½ weeks.
There was a little apprehension from everyone on both sides going into this trip, as to how it would work out w/us here for such a long stay, but to EVERYONE’S delight it has been such a wonderful time experiencing life here in Germany with our family and everyone has only good things to say about our stay! What a blessing it has been on so many levels that words just can’t seem to describe it good enough. The kids have been “gans liebe” (very lovely) as so often they have been referred to by Oma, Opa & Grossie over the past weeks. And I couldn’t agree more. They have enjoyed every minute here in Germany and have adjusted so well to the different culture and way of doing things—its been so neat to see the relationships built w/everyone here so quickly & how quickly they have picked up speaking german phrases and words!
